Who provides Grocery Loop

The provider is Mlabs, MB (company code 307689679), a software company in the EU. Our support and privacy mailbox is info@10k.live.

Shopping information kept locally

Your phone holds your list names, chosen list pictures, item names and order, quantities and units, skipped items, ticks, undo state and past-trip snapshots. Trip records can include dates and time spent shopping. The pictures are supplied with the app. The app also saves preferences such as language and appearance.

This information sits in Grocery Loop's private app storage, including recovery snapshots used to protect saved work. Upgrading an old file can retain original recovery bytes even when obsolete aisle or price fields no longer belong to the current model. The compare-sizes calculator uses the pack sizes and prices you enter in memory; those calculator entries are not added to your saved lists.

Grocery Loop does not have a shopping account, publisher database or live synchronization. We do not receive your lists or know which products you buy. The app contains no ads, tracking identifier, usage analytics or automatic diagnostic-upload service.

Sending and receiving a list

When you choose Send as message, Android lets you select another app. Grocery Loop supplies readable list text plus a restore code containing that list's names, order, quantities and units. The selected messaging app decides how to send it. The copy-text option puts the message on the clipboard instead.

A recipient can paste the text or share it back to Grocery Loop, inspect its preview and choose to add a new list or missing items. This exchange does not establish a shared account or a live connection between phones. Only share a list whose contents you intend the recipient to see.

A full backup is a different copy: it contains your saved lists and trips, but not the separate app settings. Copying it to the clipboard and keeping it elsewhere is your choice. Backup text is not encrypted by Grocery Loop. Restoring checks the text and asks before replacing the phone's saved collection. Removing a list here cannot recall messages, clipboard copies or a backup held elsewhere.

Android services and permissions

Eligible private files and preferences can be included in Android's automatic backup or device-to-device transfer. Whether they are copied and restored depends on your phone and backup settings. Control the system backup in Android or with your backup provider; Mlabs has no access to it.

No camera, microphone, contacts, location, notification or broad-storage permission is requested. The AndroidX private-broadcast permission protects internal receivers. Grocery Loop does not request Android's internet permission, so it cannot make network connections of its own.

A privacy, website or support link opens your browser or email app, which handles its own connection without any app data being attached. Those services have their own data practices.

Retention, deletion and children

Lists and trip history remain until removed in the app, replaced by a restore, or removed with app storage. Earlier data may survive temporarily in recovery snapshots. For complete local removal, clear Grocery Loop's storage or uninstall it. Separately delete any messages, backup text and Android backups you no longer want.

Grocery Loop is intended for teenage and adult shoppers. It is not a children's messaging platform and does not collect ages, build child profiles or serve advertising. Families should supervise any younger user's sharing and device-backup choices.
